About Vivian Garcia-Tunon

Vivian Garcia-Tunon has spent more than 20 years guiding CEOs and their teams at every point of inflection: from  business planning and scaling to IPO readiness, sale, acquisition, and integration. Her work has helped boards,  founders, and senior executive teams navigate succession, transformation, and the people-side of risk across  financial services, private equity, and Fortune 500 enterprises. Building diverse leadership benches has been a  throughline of her career, from a 40% lift in diverse senior pipelines as an in-house HR leader to founding one of  the few woman-owned leadership advisory firms serving the C-suite today.

Experience

Vivian is the founder and CEO of VGT People Advisory, a leadership advisory firm serving boards, CEOs, and C-suite executives. Through VGT, she advises clients during the most consequential moments of the corporate lifecycle:  strategic planning, leadership transitions, IPO readiness, M&A people integration, succession and bench planning, and organizational transformation. Her clients include Credit Suisse, Capital One, TIAA, T. Rowe Price, McKinsey &  Co., and Fordham University.

Prior to founding VGT People Advisory, Vivian spent her career as an HR business partner and recruiting leader,  helping high-performing businesses grow faster by enabling the people and the business. She began in investment  banking at Credit Suisse First Boston (now UBS) and went on to senior roles at American Capital Strategies (now  Ares Management) and Capital One.

Vivian is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), Certified in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP), and  credentialed in a range of leadership and team assessment tools. She is a member of the International Coaching  Federation and the National Association of Women Business Owners, and earned her bachelor’s degree from  Fordham University.
