Michael culminated his distinguished military career as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, G-1, at Headquarters, United States Army, Washington, DC, where he led personnel strategy and human capital initiatives for one of the world’s largest organizations.

In addition to holding the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation, Michael has accumulated thousands of hours of executive, leadership, and team coaching experience. He is a Certified Mentor Coach (CMC), a George Mason University faculty Coaching Fellow.

Michael has a longstanding commitment to governance and board leadership. He served on the Board of Governors of the Center for Creative Leadership, served on the Board of the Capital Area Chapter of the NACD, and was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Board of Visitors of Norfolk State University. He currently serves on the advisory boards of BullsEye Engagement and the Mercy University School of Business, where he contributes expertise in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and strategic growth.

Michael co-founded the International Black Coaches Alliance (IBCA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence, inclusion, and professional development in coaching. He currently serves as the organization’s President.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Norfolk State University, a Master of Arts from Shippensburg State University, and was awarded a Doctor of Commercial Science, honoris causa, by Mercy University of Dobbs Ferry, New York.
